About this machine

The A4000 moved the Amiga architecture into an expandable desktop case. Its stock processor module is a 68040. The CyberStorm configuration records a later accelerator that replaces that module with a 68060, so it belongs beside the standard configuration but is not presented as a Commodore shipping variant. The manual describes changeable Chip and Fast RAM rather than one fixed memory loadout.

Editorial notes

The manual calls the chipset AA, the name Commodore used for Advanced Graphics Architecture. It gives memory capacities as configurable options; the catalog keeps Chip RAM separate from Fast RAM so the shared graphics-memory limit does not disappear inside an invented total.
