Chip memory organized as 256K by 32 bit, reachable by both the 68EC020 and the AGA chipset. Four times the Amiga 500's, and 32 bit wide rather than 16.

a + b + … sum v1 Adds 1 memory-capacity figure obtained by design-capacity. Left out: 512 KiB (read-only firmware, not memory the machine can write to). A total is only as trustworthy as the decision about what belongs in it, so both the terms and the exclusions are named records.
Shipped as 1 MB on the motherboard, expandable to 2 MB; the service manual records that systems were by then configured with 2 MB as standard. Fast memory, which the custom chips cannot see, is a separate expansion.
