An IBM Personal Computer in the Computer History Museum, fitted with two diskette drives and the 5151 monochrome display. This record describes the 16 KiB base machine, which was sold with neither.

About this machine

The 5150's BIOS and Cassette BASIC live in ROM, so the record keeps the read-only capacity separate from base RAM and excludes it from whole-system writable memory.
